Adult Social Communication Groups
Our small group setting, lead by speech therapist Keri Sharpe MS CCC-SLP, promotes a safe and comfortable environment that allows for greater focus on each members' needs and individual profiles. Participants will engage in structured social activities to build relationships, experience supported leadership opportunities, and learn the tools necessary to enjoy their own social independence. We will also explore interactions within the local Denville community including: walking to businesses to eat or shop, ordering goods from local businesses and driving to nearby attractions. Our groups provide a great opportunity for adults with disabilities to socialize, form new relationships, explore a new community and continue to grow and maintain social-communication skills in adulthood.
Each session will run weekly for a 5 week course of time. The session's themes will change based on the members of our group and local community calendar. Our previous sessions have been immensely successful & we pride ourselves in the friendships and memories we have created so far.
